Pitch (100 character+)[]

Izanagi - locate more survivors in natural disasters, save more lives

+so we can tweet from @syncnorwich

Problem[]

When natural disasters occur and people are trapped the clock is ticking. According to the UN most will die after four days without water with hope typically abandoned in just 7 days.

Deploying enough rescue workers to save the majority of trapped survivors to a hostile and large geographic area may be impossible

Solution

Izanagi combines existing drone technology, decentralised networks and swarm bot technology to give first responders thousands of extra eyes and ears in the disaster zone. Swarmbots can even triangulate survivors and direct the efforts of fellow human rescue workers.

1 Minute use case[]

At around 3 O'Clock 11 March 2011 disaster struck Japan.

15,889 deaths

6,152 Injured

2,601 missing

The faster you can find people the more lives that can be saved.

Disasters are sadly inevitable - major conurbations like Los Angeles and Tokyo sit on major geographic faults

In Japanese mythology Izanagi searched to bring his beloved back to life from the underworld.

Tireless Izanagi robot swarms will capable of searching day and night - triangulating the faintest signs of life be they sounds or wifi signals from mobile phones.

We aim to combine well established quadcopter drone technology with our proprietary swarm search algorithm to give humans clear direction towards survivors so that no time is wasted finding the trapped.
